Factors relating to the performance of oil service station personnel in Bang Pa-In Subdistrict Municipality Area, Bang Pa-In District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to 1) study the personal factors relating to the performance of oil service station personnel in Bang Pa-In Subdistrict Municipality Area, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, and 2) study other factors relating to the performance of oil service station personnel in Bang Pa-In Subdistrict Municipality Area, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. The quantitative study was done using 60 people working for the Bang Pa-In Subdistrict Municipality or oil stations. They were selected by simple random sampling. The tool for data collecting was a questionnaire. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way ANOVA and paired comparisons using Scheffes method. In-depth interviews were conducted with 6 key informants, selected by purposive sampling from the executives of the municipality and the oil stations. The research findings were as follows: 1) The personal factors gender, age, education level, salary, work experience and work position showed no difference for all aspects on the performance of oil service station personnel in Bang Pa-In Subdistrict Municipality Area, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. 2) The other factors relating to the performance of oil service station personnel in Bang Pa-In Subdistrict Municipality Area, Bang Pa-In district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province were, overall, and for each individual aspect, at a high level. Ranked from the highest to the lowest mean, they were: peer relationship and job characteristic, which were related to work performance at a significance level of 0.05. The aspects of job tenure and satisfaction and job progress were not significantly related at the 0.05 level.
