Abstract:
The purpose of this descriptive research study was to investigate states, problemsand needs concerning the utilization of computer for operation in Royal Thai Army and tocompare states, problems and needs concerning the utilization of computer for operation inRoyal Thai Army that were different in age, education, experience in personal staff officers andexperience in computer that study in personal staff officer in Royal Thai Army.The purpose of this research was to study in the state of needs in computer usage inpersonal staff officer in Royal Thai Army the cause of this, personal staff officer which belongto Bangkok unit area. The Samples were users in personal staff officer in Royal Thai Army 16units by using Stratified random sampling method.The research instrument was divided by answer from the choice given, and estimatevalue. The statistic instrument for analyze data were percentage, an average, equivalence anddeployment by One Way ANOVA as the following result.The users from personal staff officer in Royal Thai Army which belong to Bangkokunit area. It can be divided into 3 groups, between age of 31-40 years less than 5 yearsexperience in personal staff officer. In rank of private first class to sergeant was graduated inbachelor degree and less than 5 years experiences in computer by study by themselves or askedexpert and also got a certificate in Basic computer Windows3.11, 95 and 98.The conditions of computers system was found that mostly are from the budget of agovernment army. Model 486 with Dot matrix printer, No network connection, not only in thesame unit but also the technology center of government army. Load of computer use wasestimated in more than 4 hour per day.The problems found in computer usage were not enough computers for users andvery old processor unit. Not many computer software program problems found. It might bebecause the program was cover all enough the job in personal staff officer.According to users in personal staff officer, the government army, which belong toBangkok unit area were need more computers with Laser printer. Also, the used of networksystem both in the same unit area and connection with the technology center of governmentarmy. In addition, the computer course training in Internet & Homepage and new softwarecomputer also need in the medium needs.
