Abstract:
The purposes of this resarch were to develop the mentoring information system atRajabhat Institute Phetchaburi and to evaluate the system in terms of the effectiveness of inputdata , processing system and output. The sample of the study consisted of 100 fourth and secondyear bachelor degree students and 10 students advisors from Computer Education and ComputerScience Program, School of Computer and Advanced Technologies, Rajabhat PhetchaburiInstitute during academic year l/2542. All samples were selected by using a purpose samplingtechnique. The instrument used for the study were questionnaires. The data were analysed todetermine statistical values by using Reliability, means ( 2) and standard deviation (S.D.).The research results were as follows:1. The information system for student adisors was developed by Visual Basic forApplication on Microsoft Excel. The system programming was able to record the studentsrequest on their study and personal affairs as well as their advisors guidance through workingmenu.2. The satisfaction evaluation concerning the information system for studentadvisors were as follows:2.1 The students of Computer Education and Computer Science Program, Schoolof Computer and Advanced Technologies were satisfied with the information system forstudents advisors especially on the input data at the great level as follows : the protection ofinformation from outsiders to do the changes, the convenient and easy accessibility of information, the relationship betewen the screen and the computer operating system, and theoperating system could show the whole function of major system that led to the sub system andother functions.2.2 The student advisors of Computer Education and Computer Science Program,School of Computer and Advanced Technologies had high satisfaction towards the informationsystem for student advisors especially on the procedure efficiency as follows : the protection ofinformation from outsiders to do the changes, the convenient and easy accessibility ofinformation, the relationship between the screen and the computer operating system, and theoperating system could show the whole function of major system that led to the sub system andother functions. Also, the output could be identified at the high satisfaction as follows : theexact and correct information, the concreteness and preciseness of information, the potentiality ofoperating system to respond any requirements, the sequence of information as well as the promptcapability of the good arrangement in printing out.
