Abstract:
A research "An application of CADICAEICAM for plastic injection parts supplier of Automotive industrial" is conducted at Center of operation for computer aided research engineering, Mechanical Engineering Department, King Mongkut's University of TechnologyThonburi. It is aimed to study and demonstrate the capability of using CADICAEICAM for manufacturing plastic parts supplied to automotive industries.In this thesis a commercial CADICAEICAM code was utilized to draw detail drawings, assembly drawings, analyst the injection processes and simulate machining process. The relevant information is obtained from the mold and plastic injection manufacturers. The procedure started from drawing three-dimensional parts and verified the parts assembled. Suitable operation parameters: melt temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure, packing pressure, packing time, cooling quantity and cooling time are acquired based on the defined key products. The complete step is demonstrated using Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) module to simulate the machining process and generate the numerical control code.The results show advantageous of utilizing CADICAEICAM in plastic injection process. The benefits of reduced process time, manufacturing steps, production cost and erratum due to the trial and error process and the lack of communications are achieved. Furthermore, theperformance of Plastic Manufacturer, Automotive Industrials and associated industrials in Thailand could enhance to compete in the continuously growth and change global market.
