Abstract:
This research aims to explore factors influencing on a success of the Chaloem-RatchamongkhonSubway Construction Project. and their relationship. Two surveys were conducted based on bothqualitative and quantitative techniques. Qualitative data were collected by interviewing sixteenSenior Engineers. Research outcomes, presented in forms of Fishbone Diagram, show that there aretwenty-five 25 factors grouped into four contributed key factors, time, cost, quality and safety,These factors include insufficiencies of construction time due to overtime of design stage,exceeding accredit to imported material, insufficiencies of expertise and experience, and loss ofconsciousness and safety awareness. Using an Interrelationship Digraph, the outcome also presentrelationships of the four dominant factors, and time is factor most influencing factor of the projectsuccess. Unlike qualitative date, quantitative date were gathered by sending a questionnaire to sixtyOperational Engineers, Whereas a total of forty questionnaires were responded. The outcome showthat the central tendency to measure a level of the factors is in average range. And an attitude levelbetween the interview and questionnaire outcomes is harmonious in high range.
