Abstract:
This is study of the role of Non-governmental organization in the supporting people-organizations as vehicles of peoples participation in development. It is a case study of Kwairrabom-Seeyad Development project. The major aspect considered are the role of the Porject in support of rice bank, buffalo bank and the cooperation in development and the success achieved by the peoples organizations, both in overcoming immediate community problems and in acting as change agent for further development of the community. This study is devided in to two main parts. The first part is an inquity, based on documentation about the suitability an conditions for non-government organization to participate in national development. The second part is field research of the case study. Participant observation and unstructured interview with interview guide is employed. From this findings, it appears that the role of the non-government organization is adaptation agitator, resource-mobiliser and coordinator, the role of non-government organization can support of people participation in development and can astablish ricebank, buffalo bank and cooperation in development. Find the problems of community 2. Decision making 3. Implementation 4. Benefits 5. Evaluation This part of the study also found that people organization can play a role in tackling the problems of poorer members of the community, an also acted as a change agent for the future development of the community. We can say that such people-organizations are facing the test of being institutionalized for the community. Although non-government organization can support peoples participation and institutions in the community there are also many limitations. The limitations are physical factors administrative accessibility and impoverish resources.
