Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) study the current state and the expected state of the environmental management that enhance students learning for inclusive education in primary schools in Pathum Thani Province, and 2) propose the environmental management guidelines to enhance learning for inclusive education in primary schools in Pathum Thani Province.
The sample group, selected by stratified random sampling, consisted of 308 teachers and 51 school administrators in primary schools under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data was analyzed in terms of percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI modified).
The results revealed that 1) the current state of the environmental management that enhanced students learning for inclusive education in primary schools in Pathum Thani Province was at a high level (x ̅=3.52, S.D.=0.92) and the expected state was at the highest level (x ̅=4.59, S.D.=0.64), and 2) the proposed environmental management guidelines to enhance learning for inclusive education in primary schools in Pathum Thani Province were prioritized as follows: (1) the landscape, especially the playground, designed for students with special needs; (2) the safety procedures provided with audio and visual signs in restricted areas; (3) the infrastructures for disabled students including notably accessible toilets; (4) more participation of the school staffs in school management; (5) the effective teaching and learning activities including sufficient instructtional media; and (6) training for teachers for students with special needs.
