Abstract:
The research aimed to 1) study the current state and the expected state of the relationship network management toward ASEAN community in primary schools in Pathum Thani province, and 2) propose the guidelines for the relationship network management toward ASEAN community in primary schools in Pathum Thani Province.
The sample group, selected using Stratified Random Sampling, was consisted of 375 administrators, teachers, and school committees in primary schools under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area. The research instruments used for collecting data were dualresponse format questionnaires reliability coefficient of 0.90 The data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI[subscript Modified]).
The research revealed that 1) as a whole, the current state of the relationship network management toward ASEAN community in primary schools in Pathum Thani Province was at the moderate level (Mean=3.24, S.D.=0.87) and the expected state was at the highest level (Mean=4.83, S.D.= 0.39), and 2) the proposed guidelines for the relationship network management toward ASEAN community in primary schools in Pathum Thani Province were set in order of priority as follows: (1) more activities related to ASEAN community should be provided in order to fascinate school staffs, students and the community to develop a school network toward ASEAN community; (2) a meeting between the school and the community should be held to encourage community participation in developing learning activities toward ASEAN community; (3) cultural and local events, as well as ASEAN cultural events, should be organized to exchange the local wisdoms toward ASEAN community; and (4) the community should be engaged in school activities to create mutual understanding toward ASEAN community.
