Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study the result of implementation for dramatic arts curriculum: case study on Benjakalayani dance of Bangsdet Wittayakom school which was a new local curriculum. This research studied in two aspects: 1) process focus on curriculum development and instruction and 2) product focus on dramatic arts achievement on Benjakalayani dance, students attitude towards dramatic arts subject, and application. The population of this research were 167 respondents consisted of 7 administrators and teachers of Bangsdet Wittayakom School: director; academic deputy director; academic head; 4 dramatic arts teachers and local wisdom teacher on dramatic arts; 80 grade 11 students who studied in 2008-2011 academic year, and 80 their guardians. The instruments of this research was 2 questionnaires about the result of implementation of dramatic arts curriculum on process with the reliability of 0.88 and application with the reliability of 0.82 and attitude test with the reliability of 0.75. Data in the aspect of process were collected from the opinion of administrators and teachers of Bangsdet Wittayakom School: director; academic deputy director; academic head; 4 dramatic arts teachers and local wisdom teacher on dramatic arts and in the aspect of product, the data were collected from students dramatic arts achievement on Benjakalayani dance from 2008-2011, students attitude towards dramatic arts and application were collected from students and their guardians. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variance.The results revealed that:The implementation of dramatic arts curriculum: case study on Benjakalayani dance of Bangsdet Wittayakom school on the process both of curriculum development and instruction at a good level and the product aspect, the majority for 71.25 % of students had a score at 80-100 while the attitude toward dramatic arts subject was at a good level, and application was at a high level.
