Abstract:
This research were to study the life goals of undergraduate students of the Faculty of Home Economics, the Institute of Technology and Vocational Education in the areas of further education, occupation and marriage; and to compare the life goals of those students enrolled in professional and academic programs. It was found that: further education, students from both programs want to study the most in the area of Home Economics. Suitable time are full time study and after work and in holidays respectively. For no formal education, students want self-study and tested skill from the institute. Occupation: Professional program students want to work in private profession at the first rank while academic students choose to work at educational institution. Factors which have impact on private profession are love to work, good promotion and work with individual skill. Marriage: Qualification of their mate are love, honesty and honor, family leading, well educated, secure in occupation 'and economic and have time for the family respectively. The family type in which they want is nuclear family. The aspiration of life: Students give the importance on good spouse1ร companion, success in work and high position and good economic status. Individuals who have the influence upon life goals are student themselves, parents and guardians, teachers, friends and boy friends respectively.
