Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify the speech act features in pragmatics and the figurative language features in semantics, resulted from analyzing the particular linguistic features used in the selected speeches belonging to Russian PresidentVladimir Putin, Speeches in general contained some special language features and sometimes could make people misunderstand the meanings when listening or reading or on the contrary, they were able to make the audience clearly understand the meanings of the statements. For the causes of the aforementioned, there must be something influential in their understanding of the statement meanings, of course, that was just special lanhuage features which will have to be examined. Therefore, the Putin’s speeches were worthwhile to be studied for the particular linguistic features.
