Abstract:
The purposes of this independent study were to compare the personal factors affecting training transfer and to study training and motivation to transfer related to training transfer at the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR).
The samples consisted of 235 staff of TISTR aged between 25 and 55, and a questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection. Statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation while the Independent Samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Least Significant Difference (LSD) were used to determine the differences.
The results of the independent study revealed that: 1) the overall opinion levels in terms of training, motivation to transfer and training transfer of TISTR staff were high, 2) trainees had different genders at a significance level of 0.05, and 3) the overall training and motivation to transfer were positively related to training transfer.
