Abstract:
On this thesis, the digital camera Kodak DX3900 zoom with maximum frame size of 3 million pixels (21600 x 1440) and approximate focal length of 6.6 millimeter is used for car modeling. The configurations for set-up are vary by photograph scale at the distance of 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5 and 5 meter with 60% and 80% of photo overlapping including variation in parallel and convergent axis and number of photo control points The variations result 21 configuration. The coordinate of 3-D point from photogrammetric measurements on images are then compared with those measurements by the total station, which assumed to be more accurate up to millimeter. The fine structure of surface modeling is also done by measurement on a pair of photo projected by patterns which works well image matching. The 3-D measurement and modeling are processed by PhotoModeler, it shows that the model with photograph at 1:308 scale with distance of 2 m. with parallel axis yields accuracy 0.0261, 0.0259 and 0.0306 m. in X, Y and Z axis respectively. When number of control points in model processing is reduced to 29 points, it results the accuracy are 0.0243, 0.0235 and 0.0272 m. in X, Y and Z axis respectively. The surface detail of car model in each parts is then captured by using automatic surfacing method. On refined model the spacing of surface points is deified down to 1 centimeter compared with spacing on the model from bundle black adjustment with 30 centimeter spacing. The positional accuracy is depend on the digital photograph resolution resulting from distance to the object and bundle block geometry, including the stability of digital camera. The car modeling using digital camera Kodak DX3900 zoom should be possible in centimeter accuracy.
