Abstract:
The purposes of the research were to study health behaviors of students at the certificate level in colleges under the Department of Vocational Education in the Eastern Region. The questionnaires were sent to 600 third-year students, 301 males and 299 females. All questionnaires, accounted for 100 percent, were returned. The data were then analyzed in terms of percentages. The results were as follows : 1. The positive health behaviors of students were as follows : having no sexual affair with the same sex (98.0%), consuming of fruits and vegetables (96.8 %), having no abortion or leaving a partner aborted (96.7 %), having no pregnancy or leaving a partner pregnant (95.5 %), toothbrushing at morning and night (94.8 %), hand washing after using toilet (92.7 %), unpluging electric supplies after being used (92.0 %), no drug using (89.0 %), no smoking (88.7 %), following up of drug information (86.0 %), drinking milk or consuming product from milk (70.5 %), using a safety belt (67.7 %), using a helmet while riding a motorcycle (44.8 %). 2. The negative health behaviors of students were as follows : having conflict with family members (88.5 %), consuming of soft drink (86.2 %), having stressful problems (77.2 %), riding a motorcycle into on coming traffic (65.8 %), disobeying stop signs (57.3 %), not using a helmet while riding a motorcycle (55.2 %), consuming of alcohol (49.8 %), smoking (11.3 %), using drug and narcotics(11.0 %), having sex with prostitutes (6.5 %), changing their sexual partners (6.5 %), being pregnant or leaving a partner pregnant (4.5 %), having an abortion or leaving a partner aborted (3.3 %)
