Abstract:
This study is an application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique for selection of subcontract in case studys company. The Analytic Hierarchy Process is a decision making of technique under Multiple Criteria condition. The case study began with studying quantitative factors in decision making on subcontract selection. Then, the Analytic Hierarchy technique was applied to find out the weighted rate of various factors such as price, the absence, performance, replenishment and discipline. Results of returned questionnaire revealed the weighted average of aforementioned factors at 0.483 percent, 0.166 percent, 0.103 percent, 0.077 percent, and 0.171 percent, respectively. After that, use Expert Choice program to calculate the weighted average of such factors for subcontract in all three. The results obtained from the use of AHP is to identify the key factors that influence the selection process of subcontract for a case studys company. By using all these factors as the price, the absence, replenishment and discipline together with a companys policy. Moreover, the AHP technique reduced cost of hiring 460,800 baht per year when comparing with current of selection process method.
