Abstract:
This study aims 1) to study the effectiveness of welfare operation for elderly in local administration of Wattananakorn District, Sa Kaeo Province, and 2) analyze the effects of personal attributes and welfare attributes on the effectiveness of the operation. Population encompasses the elderly within the local administration of Wattananakorn District (n = 7,762) while 380 respondents are selected as samples according to Yamane's stratified sampling scheme. Data collection utilized questionnaires (confidence level = .96) while statistics used include frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, t-value, f-value, and Scheffe's pairwise comparison. The research findings were as follows:1.Overall effectiveness of welfare operation is good while six best operations are social service, income security, health, life and property security, recreation, and residence. 2.Different groups of personal attributes (sex, age, marital status, and education) and welfare attributes (welfare group, location, additional income, and secondary job) did not cause any significant difference (p = 0.05) in the opinions on the welfare operation.
