Abstract:
This research aims to investigate and compare personnel administration that adheres to the principles of good governance in education institutions classified by experiences and sizes of insititutions. The populations are 1,642 civil service teachers under the Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area 1. The sample size was 322 teachers calculated by using Taro Yamanes formula at a 95 % confidence level and was drawn by stratified random sampling. The tool used to coolect data was rating scale with a reliability of .97. The statistical data analysis included mean (or average), standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and Scheffes method of paired comparison. The findings were as follows:1.The overall opinions of teachers towards personnel administration according to good governance was found at high level. When considering into each principle, the rule of law had the highest mean, followed by the principle of ethics, whereas the mean of the principle of participation and accountability was the lowest.2.A comparison of teachers opinions towards personnel administration according to good governance in schools under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area 1 with respect to experience and size of the schools indicated that: There was statistical significant difference of the overall opinions of teachers with different experiences towards personal administration according to good govermamce in schools. That is, the moral principle, the principle of transparency, participation, accountability, and the principle of cost-effective found statistically significant difference.3.Regarding the opinions of teachers from different sizes of schools, there were no significant differences of the overall opinions towards personal administration according to good governance and the opinions on each aspect.
