Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the leadership level of the executives of the Pipeline Fuel Transportation Company Limited 2) to study the organizational commitment of personnel of the Pipeline Fuel Transportation Company Limited and 3) to study the relationship between the executives leadership and organizational commitment of personnel of the Pipeline Fuel Transportation Company Limited. The samples for this study were 105 respondents from the personnel which consisted of employees and sub-contracts of the Pipeline Fuel Transportation Company Limited and were selected by simple random sampling. The instrument used for data collection was a rating scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed by statistics of percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way ANOVA (F-test) and Pearsons product moment correlation coefficient.The research results were found as follows:1)The majority of sample groups were male, aged between 38-47 years old, marital status as singled, bachelor's degree or equivalent, income between 12,001-24,000 baht and period of work less than 5 years, and working in the oil and gas operations in Bangkok. The leadership level of the executives in overall and in each aspect was at a high level. While considering in each aspect, the highest mean was the aspect of individual recognition and the lowest mean was the aspect of intellectual stimulation, respectively. 2)The level of the organizational commitment of personnel of the Pipeline Fuel Transportation Company Limited in overall was at a high level. While considering in each aspect, the highest mean was the aspect of willingness to exert full capacity for the benefit of the organization at a high level and the lowest mean was the needs to remain a member of the following organization at a moderate level. When considering by personal factors it was found that there were no different.3) The analysis result of the relationship between the executives leadership and organizational commitment of personnel of the Pipeline Fuel Transportation Company Limited was found that had positively correlated at a low level (r = 0.26) at a statistical significance level of 0.05.
