Abstract:
The study aimed to construct and find the effect of exercises to improve English vocabularies in writing skill for the Prathom 5 students according to standard criteria 80/80, to develop learning achievement of students before and after learning employing the exercises, and to study the students satisfaction in using the exercises to improve English vocabularies in writing skill. The subject was 14 Prathom 5 students studied at Banpin School, Ampur Dokkhamtai,Phayao in the first semester, academic year 2015. The study was the Classroom Action Research and One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The research instruments consisted of 1) 5 exercises to improve English vocabularies in writing skill, 2) the test for learning achievement in writing English vocabularies and 3) questionnaire towards students satisfaction on learning management using the exercises to improve English vocabularies. The findings showed that the effectiveness of the 5 exercises was higher than the fixed standard criteria that are 80.00/81.81 in total. Students learning achievement after learning was higher than prior learning. It was 57.62 percent prior to learning with average 17.29 and 1.90 in standard deviation. After learning the average increased at 25.00 whereas 83.33 percent increased with standard deviation 2.22 after the implementation of the exercises. Students satisfaction towards the handouts overall was high at 4.42 with 0.77 of standard deviation."
