THE DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICS ACHIEVEMENT IN THE TOPIC OF MULTIPLE FOR MATTAYOMSUKSA 3 STUDENTS AT CHOOMCHON TASSABAN 3 (PINITPITTAYANUSORN) SCHOOL BY USING TGT COOPERATIVE LEARNING TECHNIQUES.
Abstract:
The purposes of this independent study were (1) to develop the mathematics learning activity in the topic of multiple by using TGT cooperative learning techniques with required efficiency criteria of 75/75, (2) to compare the mathematics learning achievement, (3) to study the students satisfaction towards using TGT cooperative learning techniques. The samples consisted of 24 Matthayomsueksa 3/1 students of Choomchon Tassaban 3 (Pinitpittayanusorn) School under the Division of Education, Mueang Municipality, Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom Province selected by Cluster Random Sampling. The instruments used in this study were TGT cooperative learning activities, pretest-posttest designs, a questionnaire used for asking students' satisfaction. The statistics employed in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the hypothesis test by using t- test (Dependent Samples).
The results of the study were as follows :(1) The mathematics learning activity by using TGT cooperative learning techniques had the efficiency (E1/E2) was at 81.42/81.81 which statistically higher than the required efficiency criteria of 75/75. (2) The students achievement which used TGT cooperative learning techniques was higher at t = 8.85 and significantly higher at the .01 level. (3) The students ' satisfaction towards the mathematics learning activity in the topic of multiple by using TGT cooperative learning techniques was at the high level.
