Abstract: สังหยูใบเล็กเป็นพืชในวงศ์ Anonaceae ที่ประกอบด้วยพืชประมาณ 56 ชนิด การสกัดใบและกิ่งแห้งของต้นสังหยูใบเล็กน้ำหนัก 2.2 กิโลกรัมด้วยเฮกเซนและเมทานอล: เอทิลแอซีเตต (1:3) ได้ส่วนสกัดหยาบในอัตราส่วนหยาบเมทานอล: เอทิลแอซีเตต พบสารกลุ่มอัคคาลอยด์ 1 สารคือ ลิริโอเดนีน รวมทั้งสติกมาสเตอรอล การอธิบายโครงสร้างของสารนี้ใช้เทคนิค 1D และ 2D NMR และการเปรียบเทียบข้อมูลที่เคยมีรายงานมาก่อน ส่วนสกัดหยาบเมทานอล: เอทิลอะซิเตตแสดงฤทธิ์ต้านเซลล์มะเร็งหนึ่งชนิด เซลล์มะเร็งช่องปาก (KB) ผลการศึกษาฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพของสารลิริโอเดนีนพบว่า สารประกอบชนิดนี้แสดงฤททธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรียได้โดยใช้สารคอลแรมเฟนิคอลเป็นตัวยามาตรฐาน สารประกอบนี้มีฤทธิ์ยับยั้ง V.cholera (non O1/non O139) และ S.aureus (ATCC25923) ซึ่งมีค่าความเข้มข้นต่ำสุดของสารที่สามารถยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรียได้เท่ากับ 125 และ 250 ไมโครกรัมต่อมิลลิลิตรตามลำดับ
