Abstract: Inventory management is well known as a key success factor in most industries. This study investigates a case study in an electronic industry. In particular, by investigating supplier and customer behaviors we propose several policies related to inventory management, which could improve responsiveness to clients. In our study, it is found that some customers do not regularly provide order forecast problems of production planning and purchasing material occur. To mitigate the problems e.g. long lead time of raw materials from the vendors, customer segmentation and segmentation value of the goods by using ABC classification and DIFOT for analysis delivery efficient of vendor are proposed. Customer group A is customers with the highest sale volume. This would be a major client of the company, so the company should respond to the request from the customers as soon as possible. However, the clients do not regularly provide forecast or indication advance, in fact they only send a firm order. Product group A is best-selling products, which is also found to have many problems in terms of product delivery. It is reported that product group A inventory should be controlled closely and defined period appropriately. The study found that effective inventory management and delivery to client can be defined and implemented efficiently. The inventory management system that complies with operation. It can help allows the data-link accurate and accurate information to other management plan.
