Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study the status and problem in teacher development of the kindergarten private schools under the jurisdiction of the Office of Samutsongkram Primary Educational Service Area classified by samples teaching experience and education level. 132 teachers in 10 kindergarten private schools were the samples for this study. A tool was a questionnaire composed of 4 aspects; 1) the need of personnel development, 2) personnel development planning, 3) recruit, design, and development procedure, and 4) personnel development evaluation. The statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, and One-way ANOVA. The Cronbachs alpha coefficient of the questionnaire by tryout from teachers that were not the samples equaled 0.84 and 0.86.
The research findings were:
1. The status of teacher development in the kindergarten private schools under the jurisdiction of the Office of Samutsongkram Primary Educational Service Area both overall and every aspect were at a high level, as follows: recruit, design and development procedure; personnel development evaluation; needs on personnel development; and personnel development planning, respectively.
2. The problem of teacher development in the kindergarten private schools both overall and every aspect were at a moderate level, as follows: recruit, design and development procedure; personnel development evaluation; needs on personnel development; and personnel development planning, respectively.
3. Comparing by the samples education level found significantly difference both overall and each aspect, but had no significantly difference when classified by their experience.
