Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study and compare the effect of two types of pyramid weight training on leg muscle strength. The sample was composed of randomly selected 45 Private at the Artillery Battalion No. 103, Suranaree camp, Army Region II in Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima. The weight training program for leg muscle strength developed by the researcher was administered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for eight consecutive weeks. The leg muscle strength was measured three times : before the training, after 4 and 8 weeks. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, repeated measures in two demensional design, repeated measures in one demensional design and Tukey's Method.The results of the research were as follow.I . The mean leg muscle strengths of ascending pyranid weight training anddescending pyramid weight training after four and eight weeks were not significantly different at the .05 level.2. The mean leg muscle strengths of ascending pyramid weigth training and descending pyramid weight training after four and eigth weeks were significantly different from the control group at the .05 level.
