Abstract: การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาวัตถุประสงค์ ความพึงพอใจ และปัญหาในการใช้บริการศูนย์ข้อมูลหนังสือพิมพ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้คือ ผู้ใช้บริการศูนย์ข้อมูลหนังสือพิมพ์ 4 แห่ง จำนวน 336 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้คือ แบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูป SPSS คำนวณหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบียงเบนมาตรฐาน และทดสอบสมมติฐานโดยใช้ค่าที (t-test) และค่าเอฟ(F-test) ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1. วัตถุประสงค์การใช้และความต้องการในการใช้บริการ ผู้ใช้บริการส่วนใหญ่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประกอบการปฏิบัติงานมากที่สุด รองลงมาเพื่อเพิ่มพูนความรู้เพื่อทำรายงานและประกอบการศึกษาต่อตามลำดับ โดยที่ผู้ใช้บริการต้องการสารนิเทศประเภทหนังสือพิมพ์มากที่สุด ซึ่งเมื่อเทียบกับการใช้จริงแล้วพบว่าอยู่ในระดับมากเช่นกัน รองลงมาคือกฤตภาค วารสารและนิตยสารตามลำดับ สำหรับสารนิเทศด้านเนื้อหาผู้ใช้บริการต้องการด้านการเมืองการปกครองในระดับมาก โดยเนื้อหาที่ต้องการมีอยู่ไม่เกิน 1 เดือนมากที่สุด ซึ่งเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับการใช้จริงมีระดับมากเช่นเดียวกัน 2. ผู้ใช้บริการส่วนใหญ่มีความพึงพอใจในความสะดวกในการสืบค้นสารนิเทศความถูกต้องของเนื้อหา และความสะดวกในการถ่ายสำเนาเอกสารในระดับมาก ส่วนในเรื่องเวลาเปิด-ปิดศูนย์ข้อมูล สภาพแวดล้อมภายในศูนย์ข้อมูล สถานที่ตั้ง อายุสารนิเทศ จำนวนสารนิเทศ ความสะดวกในการยืมเอกสารออกนอกสถานที่ และอัตราค่าบริการ พบว่าผู้ใช้มีความพึงพอใจในระดับปานกลาง 3. ปัญหาในการใช้บริการศูนย์ข้อมูลพบว่าปัญหาดังนี้ (1)ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับรูปแบบของทรัพยากรสารนิเทศ พบว่าผู้ใช้บริการมีปัญหามากที่สุดสามอันดับแรก คือวิธีใช้ทรัพยากรสารนิเทศ สารนิเทศภาษาอังกฤษ และวิธีค้นหาข้อมูลทรัพยากรสารนิเทศ(2) ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับเนื้อหา พบว่าผู้ใช้บริการมีปัญหามากที่สุดสามอันดับแรกคือผู้ใช้บริการไม่พบสารนิเทศที่ต้องการ สารนิเทศไม่เพียงพอต่อความต้องการ และเนื้อหาสารนิเทศไม่ต่อเนื่อง (3) ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับการบริการมีปัญหามากที่สุดสามอันดับแรกดังนี้ ค่าบริการ การยืมเอกสารออกนอกสถานที่และที่ตั้งของศูนย์ข้อมูลหนังสือพิมพ์

Abstract: The objective of the research study is to search for the users' satisfaction, proposal and problem deal with newspaper information centers.There are four sampling groups in this research study, 336 people were asked by the questionnaires. The obtained data were analyzed, using SPSS program to calculate for percentage, mean, standard deviations, t and F-test.The research results can be summarized as follows I . Users' objectives. Firstly most of the users came to the newspaper information center for obtaining the information dealt closely with their occupations. Secondly, for their own academic accumulations or increase their knowledge. Thirdly, for general studies and report preparation. Newspaper's information has been mostly needed by the sampling groups. The results from this need (of newspaper) are matching to the real practicing. Text books and clippings and general magazines have been peripherally needed by the same sampling groups. Almost all of the users neededon politics and government information with update events (not more than 30 days after news released) And this is matching to the real practicing.2. Users' satisfaction. Almost all ofthe users feel satisfactory on their researches' convenience, particularly, on the serviced performances, such as, photo- copied services. Besides, the period of services have been accepted and atmosphere in the office is all right, location have been satisfied, too. Moreover, there have been plenty of information to support and meet users' requirements extremely well. However, it found that the service on book and fee has been mediumly satisfied by the mentioned groups.3. Problems. The research study reached to these follows: (1) Problem of information resource's models which the users have faced on these following three problems: how to use information resource, foreign information and how to look up in detail of information. (2) Problem of raw materials of data, there have respectively been three problem as the users could not find data as per their requests, unadequate data for the users' needs and uncontinous data. (3) Problem of services, there have been 3 problems as the followings: rate of fees, lending of data for outside reading and location of newspaper information center. These are the first three problems in medium level as per the researc study.
