Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop a nonformal education program to enhance Transformational Buddhist Leadership for Thai Nuns; 2) implement a non formal educational program to enhance Transformational Buddhist Leadership for Thai Nuns; and 3) study factors and conditions related to the use of non formal educational programs to enhance Transformational Buddhist Leadership for Thai Nuns. The research samples in the experimental group were 30 Thai Nuns belong to Shee Thai foundation under the Queens patronage. This study based on the Experimental Research One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research findings were as follow: 1.The components of a non-formal education program to enhance Transformational Buddhist Leadership for Thai Nuns consisted of Identification of the Basis for Programming ,Situation Analysis of Community and Clientele, Identification of Desired Outcomes, Identification of Resources and Support , Design of an Instructional Plan, Program of Action, Accountability of Resources and Communication of the Value of the Program. 2. Statistically, there were not significant difference between the pre-test and post test in the experimental group at the .05 level. The results of the implementation of using a non-formal education activity program were : the experimental group had the scored of knowledge in pretest were higher than the scored of posttest ,attitude scales and expression were more positive after the program. Communication skills and creativity were improved after the training. 3. The factors concerning the non-formal education program were the learners, instructors, content learning activities , period of time and evaluation. In addition there were some obstructive factors and the conditions related to the use of the program that might have affected the training. These included the characteristic of the Thai Nuns, environment and the arrangement of activities.
