Abstract:
The research on Five Columns Tattoo: A Case Study of Tattoo Group of Ajarn Noo Khanpai is a qualitative research by an observation, an in-depth interview of the Five Columns Tattoo practitioners with Ajarn noo Khanpai as well as a documentary research on the belief and the rituals of Tattoo in the central region of Thailand as a further academic research in conjunction with the practice of Five Columns Tattoo. Throughout the study, the research draws out a conclusion that the belief and the rituals of Tattoo in the central region of Thailand are an affinity between spiritual belief and religious rituals for physical and mental strength for the practitioners to fight against the war. An exemplified practice of Five Columns Tattoo is specifically perceived as financial and professional accomplishment in order to bring occupational stability, business success and good fortune. Those Five Columns Tattoo devotees have an identical characteristic in terms of a common belief in sanctity of the rituals of Tattoo as well as in mutual goal and objective on a collective ritual practice among the Tattoo wearers themselves. The Five Columns Tattoo practice is thus a well-reflected spiritual belief that has a grateful influence on people living in a todays society which the future force are implored for life assurance and worry eradication. Furthermore, the research also found out that the belief in Five Columns Tattoo is served as self-confidence and spiritual encouragement for the Five Columns Practitioners to confront the obstacles along the path they are heading forward
