Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to develop the model used for Dual Vocational Training
(DVT) on Industrial Trade program by 1) reviewing related literatures, experts comments, and
feedback of DVT implementation in the past 2) conducting needs analysis for developing DVT
teaching-learning management 3) drafting the proposal training module with 3 supporting
components for the model 4) evaluating the training module quality 5) piloting the training
module by conducting a training program for the sampling group of 32 persons.
6) implementing the model in Samutprakan province 7) monitoring and evaluating satisfaction of
the related group 8) analyzing data and 9) reporting the results.
The data collection included 3 steps : first, the needs analysis on DVT teaching-learning
development was conducted through the questionnaires from the group of 88 samples consisting
of 2 DVT teachers and industrial trainers from 22 technical colleges under the supervision of the
Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) in Bangkok, Pathumthani province,
Samutprakan province, and in the eastern provinces. Step 2, data were collected to validate the
efficiency of the training module by the pre/during/post tests from the group of 32 samples
participating the training program. They were teachers and trainers in the factories in
Samutprakan province and network colleges such as Minburi Technical College, Pathumthani
Technical College, Chacherngsao Technical College, and Bankhai Technical College. Steps 3,
after the implementation of the model in step 2, the questionnaies to investigate users
satisfachion were distributed to the people involved in this study. The first group consisted of 16 persons: a Director or a Deputy Director in Academic Section and a Plant Manager or Head of
training section from 8 colleges and 8 factories in Samutprakan province and the network
colleges. The second group consisted of 32 persons who had been trained from step 2. The third
group included 32 persons from 4 vocational and industrial community colleges and 4 enterprises
with four students from each organization.
The results showed that the developed Model consisted of 6 training units 1] Principle,
2] Vocational Training Plan in DVT Program, 3] Teaching Practice, 4] Testing and Evaluation in
DVT Program, 5] Preparation and Monitoring in DVT Program, and 6] DVT Network system
including 3 supporting components: DVT Network Center, Training Center, and Service Center.
The results showed that the teachers and the trainers were satisfied with the training on the Model
for DVT teaching/learning management at high level. Regarding all the involving people such as
college administrators, industrial managers or trainers, and DVT students, they were also satisfied
with the Model at the highest level.
