Abstract:
Gamma dosimetric properties of thin film from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with dye from indian park leaf and polyvinyl alcohol with dye from crude LAC were studied. Effect of film conditions (composition, thickness, dyes color intensity, and choral hydrate concentration) on film responses (gamma dose and wavelength) were determined. Humidity and temperatures were also found to have some effects on film stability both before and after irradiation. The results showed that PVA film with indian park leaf dye was suitable for gamma dosimeter at 546 nm wavelength and 5-30 kGy range. The PVA film with crude LAC was suitable for gamma dosimeter at 365 nm wavelength and 10-40 kGy range, and at 497 nm wavelength and 10-60 kGy. The PVA film with crude LAC and chloral hydrate was suitable for gamma dosimeter at 365 nm wavelength and 0-30 kGy
