Abstract:
The objectives of the study were to find out the factors and levels of them on the manual industry works having risk of CTS incidents through measuring Median Sensory Latency (MSL) and Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) . The experiments for the static and dynamic works were additionally applied on the selected study group of 13 samples to measure MSL. The MSL was done on the activated areas along the wrists and elbows of such the studied patients and the NCV were executed. The results showed that the continuous CTS risky works effected to MSL and NCV. Experiencing at no-load and load of 1 pound produced no different results. Works at static condition had no effect to MSL. On the flexion-extension works at dynamic status, the one at 60 repetitions per minute produced higher changeable time between nerve stimulation and initial response (MSLonset) than that of 20 repetitions per minute. It could be concluded that the manual industry works having repetition and duration of long continuity would significantly affect the chance of having CTS. Working at static status would have higher CTS risk than that of dynamic wrist exercise. It would reduce change MSL and make better median nerve performance.
