Improvement performance of split type air conditioner by using closed-end oscillating heat pipe installation heat transfer between inlet compressor and outlet condenser

ABSTRACT
Heat pipe technology has been used in various forms and is becoming more prevalent. This thesis was to study the improvement performance of air conditioning system with a closed end oscillating heat pipe heat-exchanger installed between the compressor inlet tube and condenser outlet tube. From the experiment, a closed end oscillating heat pipe is fabricated from the copper tube with the inner diameter of 0.05 and 0.07 mm and lengths was 200 cm. The selected R-22 and F-11 were used as working fluid. The copper tube from the coil was heat exchanger for used the heat exchanger of the refrigerant of the split type air conditioner was 12,000 BTU/hr. The main parameters for study were focused on coefficient of performance, effectiveness and current consumption and compared with the case before the duct.
The experimental results was found that a closed end oscillating heat pipe heat exchanger used F-11 as working fluid, inner diameter of 0.07 mm. at the temperature 40 has the highest coefficient of performance was 6.56 The best effectiveness of a closed end oscillating heat pipe heat exchanger used F-11 as working, inner diameter of 0.05 mm at the temperature 40 was 43.7 and which could save cost by 1,646 Baht/year. The experimental fond that the a closed end oscillating heat pipe heat exchanger installed between the compressor inlet tube and condenser outlet tube has effect on the increase coefficient of performance, effectiveness of air condition systems. So the results of this study are expected to guidelines that will allow the development of the air conditioning system.
