The Opinions of the Members of School Boards Regarding the Transfer of Educational Management from the Krabi Primary Educational Service Area Office to the Nua Klong Sub- District Administrative Organization (SAO)
Abstract:
The objectives of the research were to study the level of opinions of the members of the school boards regarding the transfer of educational management from the Krabi Primary Educational Service Area Office to the Nua Klong SAO, to compare the level of opinions of the members based on the type of schools, and to propose suggestions regarding the transfer of the educational management of the schools. The sample group consisted of 87 people from 2 groups : school administrators, and representatives of teachers and parents. Questionnaires with the level of reliability at 0.95 were used to collect the data. The statistics employed to analyse the collected data included frequency, means, S.D, and t-test.
The results of the study revealed that :
1. Most of the respondents disagreed with the transfer of educational management from the Krabi Primary Educational Service Area Office to the Nua Klong SAO. The only area that was agreed upon was general management. The area which the members were not certain about was personnel. Other areas that were not in agrrement included academic and budget management.
2. When comparing the opinions of the members of school boards based on the type of school, it was found that the members had different opinions in the area of general management at the level of 0.05. They had the same opinions in other areas of management.
3. Suggestions from the respondents were that the SAO should modify their development plan by focusing on education. They should start by participating with the schools in planning to develop the quality of education in the community. The SAO should also allocate their budget to the schools to recruit teachers and improve the environment, buildings and provide the educational supplies needed.
