Abstract:
The objectives of the research were: 1) to study the level of the usage of the good governance principles by the administrators of the schools under the supervision of the Krabi Municipality, and to propose suggestions to increase the usage of good governance principles in their work. The sample group consisted of 95 teachers who were teaching in the schools. The researcher looked at 6 aspects of good governance: law and regulations, ethics, transparency, participation, accountability, and worthiness. Questionnaires were used to collect the data. The statistics employed to analyse the collected data included frequency, means, and S.D.
The results of the study revealed that:
The overall level of the principles of good governance by the school administrators was found to be high. The areas of good governance were ranked from the highest to the lowest as follows: accountability, ethics, worthiness, transparency, participation, and laws and regulations respectively.
Suggestions to increase the usage of the principles of good governance for the school administrators included: the administrators should enforce the regulations more strictly; teachers should be assigned to work based on their skills and abilities; the people and community should be encouraged to participate in the school administration; teachers and students should be made aware of how to use the schooll resources more efficiently
