The openion of the people about the desirable characteristics of the chief executive of the Koh Lanta Yai sub-district administrative organization, Koh Lata district, Krabi province
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the level of the peoples satisfaction with the characteristics of the Chief Executive of the Koh Lanta Yai Sub-District Administrative Organization, and to propose suggestions for the desirable characteristics of the Chief Executive. The sample group consisted of 362 people who were residing at Koh Lanta Yai. Questionnaires were used as tools to collect the data. The statistics employed in analyzing the collected data were percentage, arithmetic means, and S.D.
The results of the study revealed : The overall level of satisfaction of the people with the characteristics of the Chief Executive was found to be very high. The people were satisfied with the following characteristics : devotion (4.13), fairness (4.10), and financial status (3.24).
Suggestions for the desirable characteristics of the Chief Executives were that : the Chief Executive should not have financial problems ; he or she should update the information and new knowledge and transfer them to the public ; the construction projects should be monitored strictly and fairly ; the Chief Executives should devote themselves to the public interests and encourage the local people to supplement their income by forming occupational groups. People participation should also be focused on.
