Abstract:
This paper presents the development of new employee training curriculum in business administration to build the readiness to the industrial sector. The purposes of this research were to develop and find effective training curriculum for new employee in business administration to build the readiness to the industrial sector. This research consists of 3 phases : 1) Researching to set the necessary competencies of new employee in business administration 2) Developing training curriculum and 3) Training and monitoring. The necessary competencies were synthesized by literature review and the Delphi technique with 26 experts from industrial sector. The results were, then, compared with those required in the curriculum of the Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Rajabhat Universities, in order to investigate the gap competencies in their current curriculum. Accordingly, the essential competencies for the development of the training curriculum of new employee in business administration for industrial sector were concluded into 8 units; namely, Unit 1 : 5S Activity, Unit 2 : ISO9001 : 2008 Standardization, Unit 3 : Human Relations and Teamworks, Unit 4 : Problem Solving and Decision Making, Unit 5 : Working Positive Attitude, Unit 6 : Service Mind, Unit 7 : Creativity and Unit 8 : Emotional Quotient. All units were evaluated regarding the consistency index by the experts. The training course was administered to 30 new employees in industrial sector. In conclusion, it was found that the posttest and performance assessment were reported at 87.35 percent. The results of competencies evaluation after training by heads of the participants were reported at a good level and participants could apply to their work very well.
