Abstract:
The objective of this research are to 1) study the level of ability in emotional control of
teachers, to 2) study the teachers job stress, to compare the teachers job stress according to their
personal data and to 3) study the relationship between ability in emotional control and teachers
job stress. The research sample comprised of 180 teachers to be under Nontaburi Educational
Service Area Office 1. Questionnaires were used for the data collection. The statistics employed
for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One way Analysis of
Variance and Pearsons Products Moment Correlation Coefficient The results of the research
indicated that teachers had high level of ability in emotional control and low level of job stress.
Teachers who had different sex, age, duration of work, marital status, the occupation of the
marriage and amount of children did not have different job stress. Teachers who had different
level of highest education had different job stress with a significant difference level of .01 and the
ability in emotional control had negative relationship with job stress.
