Abstract:
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the level of perceived leadership and work
attitude in affective component of employees 2) to compare work attitude in affective component
of employees who have different personal factors 3) to study the relationship between the
perceived leadership and work attitude in affective component of employees.
This research was carried out with 293 employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited.
The research was conducted through questionnaire survey. Data collected through the survey
were analyzed in percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and
Pearsons Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
Results of the study revealed majority of employees had perceived transformational
leadership and had work attitude in affective component at moderate level. Personal factors that
influenced the levels of work attitude in affective component were periods of working at .05
statistically significant level. The perceived transformational leadership and transactional
leadership had a positive relationship with work attitude in affective component at .01 statistically
significant level. Laissez-Faire leadership had negative relationship with work attitude in affective
component at .01 statistically significant level.
