Abstract:
The purposes of this research are to compare individual factors and efficiency of work
performance of the practitioners Hatha Yoga, and to study the relationship between the
characteristics of the Hatha Yoga practice and work performance. The subjects employed in this
research were 92 employees who joined the practice. The survey was carried out by distributing
questionnaires asking the subjects about individual factors, the characteristics of the Hatha Yoga
practice and the efficiency of work performance such as concentration on work, skills and work
performance, awareness of their potentials and satisfaction in job achievement. The statistics used
for data analysis were means, standard deviations, percentages, t-test, F-test and Pearsons
Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The results indicated that
1. The practitioners with differences in gender, age, status, education level, work
experience did not show statistically significant differences in work efficiency.
2. The characteristics of the Hatha Yoga practice had a positive correlation with work
efficiency at .01 statistically significant level. It was also found that the differences in duration
of the Hatha Yoga practice had a positive correlation with work efficiency at .01 statistically
significant level. However, the frequencies of the Hatha Yoga practice did not have a significantly
positive correlation with work efficiency.
