Abstract:
The purpose of this research were (1) to study the factors affected decision-making in using cable T.V.s service in Krabi Province; (2) to study the using cable T.V.s service behavior; (3) to compare the factors affecting the decision-making in using cable TV service, which classified by personal factors; and (4) to study the relationship between behavior and decision-making in using cable T.V.s service. The 400 samples drawn by mean of accidental random sampling consisted of customers using cable T.V.s service in Krabi Province. SPSS for Windows was used to analyze percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test.
The research results were as follows: the majority of the respondents were married women with age ranged from 20 to 30. Their educational background was bachelors degree. They have their own business with family size 3 to 4 people of Buddhism and the monthly income ranged from 10000 to 15000 baht with expenditure less than 10000 baht. Most of them used cable T.V.s service because the Free TV signal was not clear. They used cable T.V.s service 3 - 4 hours from 06.01 p.m. - 09.00 p.m. with the monthly- member of 1 - 2 years long who paid for services at the company and their favorite programmes were song, music and concert.
The overall result of factors affected decision-marking in using cable T.V.s services was in the high level. As classified in aspects, six of them were in the high level, personal price, promotion way of selling, process of services and product, respectively. However, the physical evidence was in the average. The comparison results on the factors affecting the decision-making classified by personal factors revealed that there are significant differences at the level of 0.05 among the personal factors differing in sex, marital status, educational background, career, and monthly income.
The correlation between the using of cable T.V.s service behavior and decision-making in using cable TVs service found that there was significant difference at the level of 0.05 among the reasons to use, favorite programme, and types of member.
