Relationship between Administrative Skill and Task Performance of School Administrators Perceived by Teachers in Basic Education Institutions,Sungai Padi district, Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2
Abstract:
This independent research was aimed to 1) study the level of administrative skill and
task performance of school administrators as perceived by teachers in primary schools,Sungai
Padi district,Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, 2) study the relationship
between administrative skill and task performance of school administrators as perceived by
teachers in primary schools, Sungai Padi district, Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area
Office 2, 3) collect the suggestions of teachers in basic education institutions, Sungai Padi district,
Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 that effective for administrative skill and
task performance of school administrators. The sampling group utilized in this research that are
teachers in primary schools, Sungai Padi district, Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area
Office 2 totaling 183 persons in 2011 academic year. The tool used in this research is a set of
rating scale questionnaires. It estimated and examined the accuracy of the tool by experts, obtained confidence
by using the coefficient of Cronbachvs Alfa with confidence at .989. This study analyzed data by the
readymade program, calculated in percentage, means, standard deviation and related coefficient.
The research finding was as follows
1. The level of administrative skill of school administrators as perceived by teachers in
primary schools, Sungai Padi district, Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 stay at a high level. When it considered in 3 sides: technical skill, human skill, and conceptual skill
we found them also stay at high level.
2. The level of administrative task performance of school administrators as perceived by teachers in
primary schools,Sungai Padi district, Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 stay at a high
level. When it considered in 4 sides: academic administration, budget administration, personal administration,
and general administration we found them also stay at high level.
3. The relationship between administrative skill and task performance of school administrators as
perceived by teachers in primary schools, Sungai Padi district, Narathiwat Primary Educational Service Area
Office 2 in general stay in positive with statistical significance at .01 and at a high level that related with the
hypothesis provided.
4. The collection of suggestions of administrative skill and task performance of school
administrators as perceived by teachers in primary schools,Sungai Padi district, Narathiwat
Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 in the highest frequency of each side we found that
the technical skill such as school administrators should have systematic planning and passing
knowledge to their followers for possible task performance. In human skill, administrators should
have activities of meeting outside the time and the place for cherished possession and will. In
conceptual skill aspect, administrators should have policy and planning clearly for each party of
tasks in academic institutions with efficiency. In academic administration, administrators should
follow up and evaluate the task of personnel in academic institutions for update and continuation.
In budget administration, administrators should do their job with transparent ness, efficiency and
proof possibility. In academic administration, administrators should practice good governance in
contributing responsibility. In addition, in general administration, administrators should promote
teachers for joining studentsv activities.
