Effect of sexual harassment on withdrawal from work in female employees : the mediating roles of job satisfaction, health perception and psychological conditions
Abstract:
To develop and validate the causal model of effect of sexual harassment on withdrawal from work in female employees: the mediating roles of job satisfaction, health perception and psychological conditions. The 502 female employees age 25 to 35 were participants of this study. The developed model consisted of 5 latent variables and 13 observed variables. Structural equation model (LISREL) was used for statistical analysis. Structural modeling analyses indicated that: The causal model of sexual harassment on withdrawal from work in female employees was significantly well consistent with empirical data as indicated by Chi square = 54.18, df = 50, p = 0.08565, RMSEA = 0.024, RMR = 0.0242, GFI = 0.981 and AGFI = 0.965 This model could explain the variance in job satisfaction, health perception, psychological conditions and withdrawal from work about 61.2, 62.9, 100.0 and 89.9 percent respectively.
