Abstract:
This study aims 1) to examine core competency of working of personnel at the office of
Kasetsart University, Si Racha Campus in 5 aspects: working achievement motivation, service
mind, professional expertise, ethics, team work and 2) to compare the level of core competency of
working of the studied personnel classified by sex, in-service time, educational level, category,
and position. Population is consisted of 127 staffs at the office of Kasetsart University, Si Racha
Campus. Questionnaire is used as data collecting tool and the statistics used for data analysis are
frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The findings show that the overview of core competency of working of personnel at the
office of Kasetsart University, Si Racha Campus is rated high. When considering by aspect, rated
from the highest to the lowest, it shows that the aspects of morality and ethics, service mind, team
work, working achievement motivation, and professional expertise, respectively.
The comparison of core competency of working of the personnel shows that the competency
of male staffs, which are the majority of the studied population, is rated high. The competency of the
staffs with 1-5 years of in-service time is rated the highest. The competency of the staffs holding Masters
Degree is rated the highest compared to those who have lower education. The competency of the staffs
who are government officials is rated higher than of those who are in other categories, and the
competency of the staffs who are in group of general administration is rated the highest.
