Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the physical fitness of seventyone physical education instructors of the college of physical education in the central region. The physical fitness valiables which uses to measure were the resting pulse rate, the resting blood pressure, grip strength, leg and back strength, flexibility. vital capacity, percent of body fat and the maximal oxygen uptake. The questionnaires of The physical study status such as the amount of exercise, exercise facilities and nutrition. The data were then analyzed into percentages, means, standard deviation, One Way Analysis of Variance, Scheffe s Multiple Comparison and the level of the physical fitness. The results were: 1.The mean of the physical fitness variables of the 20-30 years old subjects were the resting pulse rate of 72 beats/min, the resting blood pressure of 119/mm/Hg, grip strength of 0.75 kg/w, back strength of 1.39 kg/w, leg strength of 1.69 kg/w, flexibility of 14.82 cm , vital capacity of 60.66 cm2/w, percent of body fat 6.90 percent and the maximum oxygen uptake of 39.82 ml/kg/min. The mean of the physical fitness variables of 31-40 years old subjects were the resting pulse rate of 72 beats/min, the resting blood pressure of 119 mm/Hg, grip strength of 0.73 kg/w, back strength of 1.37 kg/w, leg strength of 1.79 kg/w, flexibility of 11.02 cm, vital capacity of 54.96 cm2/w, percent of body fat 8.79 percent and the maximum oxygen uptake of 36.75 ml/kg/min.
