Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to survey the problems of physical education teachers in implementing the upper secondary school syllabus 2518 B.E. of the government schools in educational region 10. The questionnaires, as the tool of this study, were sent to twenty-seven teachers who were teaching health and physical education in the sampling schools. The questionnaires were all returned. The data were statistically treated as the percentage. It was found that the physical education teachers in the upper secondary schools were not adequate in number. Most of them taught in both lower and upper secondary schools. Most of them taught in both lower and upper secondary schools. The principals, the department heads understood the role of physical education well. Most of the schools were lack of texts and supplementary books. The purposes of the syllabus were functional. Required subject matters of health education were appropriate but not for those in physical education. Equipment and, facilities for teaching physical education were adequate, but not for those of health education. Most of schools used the measuring and evaluating methods constructed by the group of schools.
