Abstract:
To reduce the defect in curing process following to the target and to seek for the method to improve and prevent the defect. The type of defect that were bead transform, water, spew plug, bladder split, bladder crease, late PCI, PCI rim cut and foreign material. This thesis started from studying the process and defect of curing process then brainstorming to look for the cause that effect to the defects by using cause and effect diagram and process failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA). After that, the specialists in curing section analyze to evaluate the severity, occurrence and detection to calculate the risk priority number (RPN). This thesis improves the defect that have RPN value more than 100. The result of improvement can be shown as below : The RPN of defect over than 100 was 12 and after improvement RPN of defect over than 100 was 5 and defect percentage of curing process before improvement was 2.88% and after improvement was 1.29%
