A study of developmental needs for instruction of faculty of science and technology in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon according to the perception of students and teachers
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was a survey research with the objectives to study the needs in the instruction development of the Faculty of Science and Technology in Rajmangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, according to the students and the teachers perception. The study target groups consists of 220 students and 45 teachers. The tool used was the questionnaires built by the researcher, asking for the needs. The data analysis used the basic statistics-the Percentage, the Mean, the Standard Deviation, the Priority Needs Index and the Matrix Analysis.
The results found that the needs in the instruction development according to the students perception, showed that their maximum needs was the household. For the welfare and activities, the audio-visual aids and service, and the teaching staff, the needs were in medium level, respectively. And the minimum needs was the assessment and evaluation of the instruction and the curriculum.
The needs in the teachers perception, In the budget management, the teachers needs showed that the administrators should buy sufficient instruction materials and they should find external budget to develop the Faculty in various topics efficiently. For general administration, their needs were that the administrators should develop the Faculty information system to be always up-to-date.
