Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to identify career satisfaction levels of graduated student athletes based on their role identification, types of sport and gender. The research instrument of this study was the Career Satisfaction Scale (Greenhaus, Parasuraman, & Wormley, 1990). Career Satisfaction Scale was used as a tool to determine levels of career satisfaction for each of the afore mentioned variables from 400 graduated student athletes of BacNinh University of Sport. The anticipated outcome was that there were significant differences in career satisfaction levels of graduated based on their types of sport; and there were no significant differences in their role identification and gender. The study also revealed that graduated student athletes of BacNinh University of Sport had moderate levels of career satisfaction. These findings may be helpful to student athletes, future student athletes, and people who work with student athletes in determining if participation in college athletics results in high levels of career satisfaction.
