The effects of Knowledge Management on Staff’s Operational Performance at the Offices of Academic Promotion and Registration of Rajamangala Universities of Technology in the Central Region
Abstract:
This research was entitled to the effects of Knowledge Management on Staff’s Operational Performance at the Offices of Academic Promotion and Registration of Rajamangala University of Technology in the Central Region. It aims to study 1) the level of Knowledge Management in the Offices of Academic Promotion and Registration and the efficiency level of the staff’s performance 2) the relationship between Knowledge Management and the efficiency of staff’s performance, and 3) the effects of Knowledge Management on Staff’s performance at the Offices of Academic Promotion and Registration of Rajamangala Universities of Technology. The study was a descriptive research. The instrument used in the study was a 5-scale questionnaire which had been examined by the five experts before being piloted with a sample group of thirty people. The data were collected from a population of 136 consisting of government officers, government staff, university staff, permanent employees, and temporary employees who were working at the Offices of Academic Promotion and Registration of five Rajamangala Universities of Technology in the Central Region of Thailand, namely, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUT), Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK), Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin (RMUTR), and Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi (RMUTSB). The data were analyzed by using the statistical package program to determine percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The results were as follow 1)Knowledge Management of the staff in the Offices of Academic Promotion and Registration was overall at a high level with the average of 3.66 and the efficiency of staff’s performance in the Offices of Academic Promotion and Registration was also at a high level with the average of 3.93. 2) the relationship between Knowledge Management and the staff’s performance at the .01 level of significance. 3) Knowledge Management had an overall effect at 53 percent on the staff’s performance in terms of Knowledge Identification, Knowledge Accessment, and Learning at .05 level of significance.
