Relationships between transformational leadership of school administrators and teaching efficiency of teachers under the office of Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Office Area1
Abstract:
The study of the relationships between the transformational leadership of school administrators and teaching efficiency of teachers under the office of Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Office Area 1 aimed to study the transformational leadership level to investigate the teaching efficiency of teachers, and to investigate the relationship between the transformational leadership of school administrators and teaching efficiency of teachers. The sample of the study consisted of 242 teachers in primary schools under Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Office Area 1 in the 2010 academic year from 4 districts which were Amphoe Muang, Amphoe Khlong Luang, Amphoe Ladlumkaew and Amphoe Samkok. The statistic tools used for data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation and correlation coefficient. The research revealed that:
1. The transformational leadership of school administrators, according to the teachers’ opinions, was overall at the high level. When identified each aspect, was at a high level in every aspect.
2. The teaching efficiency of teachers was overall at a high level. When identified in each aspect, was at a high level in every aspect.
3. The relationship between transformational leadership of school administrators and the teaching efficiency of teachers under Pathumthani Primary Educational Service Office Area 1 revealed that the overall aspects and specific aspects were positively correlated at a medium level, having a significantly significant level at .01
From the result of study which found the transformational leadership of school administrators is related to the teaching efficiency. So administrators and teachers are supposed to be aware of the importance of transformational leadership characteristics in each aspect to be consistent with managing school efficiently.
