Abstract: The objective of this study is to analyze, design and develop a database application for use in medical-supplies stock management, in order to reduce the time, it takes the staff to do their work and to support medical supplies stock management efficiently. Research analysis and design utilized a relational database model, using Microsoft SQL Server7.0 as Database Management System (RDBMS) and used Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 to develop an application which interfaces between database, system and users. The result of this study is a prototype database application for medical supplies stock management. This composed of two parts. The first part is medical-supplies stock database with correct data and details of medical supplies in stock. The second part is an application for use in stock management. This application uses a graphic user interface (GUI) format that is easy for users. Furthermore, the application reduces time in processing and produces revised reports for users. This satisfies the users for the system.

Abstract: การวิจัยเรื่องการพัฒนาและประยุกต์ใช้ฐานข้อมูลสำหรับงานบริหารคลังเวชภัณฑ์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ วิเคราะห์ ออกแบบ และพัฒนาโปรแกรม สำหรับประยุกต์ใช้ในงานบริหารคลังเวชภันฑ์ เพื่อเป็นการช่วยลดเวลาในการทำงานของเจ้าหน้าที่ และให้การบริหางานคลังเวชภัณฑ์ดำเนินไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการพัฒนา และออกแบบ โดยใช้หลักการออกแบบฐานข้อมูลเชิงสัมพันธ์ (Relational database) ใช้ Microsoft SQL 7.0 เป็นตัวจัดการฐานข้อมูล และใช้ Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 เขียนโปรแกรม ซึ่งเป็นตัวเชื่อมต่อระหว่าง ฐานข้อมูล, ระบบ และผู้ใช้ ผลที่ได้จากการศึกษา คือ โปรแกรมฐานข้อมูลต้นแบบ สำหรับบริหารงานคลังเวชภัณฑ์ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วน คือ 1) ส่วนฐานข้อมูลคลังเวชภัณฑ์ ที่เก็บข้อมูลรายละเอียดต่างๆ ของเวชภัณฑ์ ภายในคลัง และ 2.) ส่วนของโปรแกมสำหรับใช้บริหารงานคลังเวชภัณฑ์ โปรแกมที่ได้พัฒนาขึ้นนี้ได้ใช้รูปแบบการติดต่อกับผู้ใช้ระบบแบบกราฟฟิค ทำให้ใช้งานได้ง่ายไม่เกิดความยุ่งยากในการใช้งาน นอกจาก จากการทำงานของระบบทำให้ลดเวลาในการดำเนินงานของเจ้าหน้าที่ และได้รายงานผลที่ถูกต้อง ตรงตามความต้องการของผู้ใช้ ซึ่งเป็นผลให้ผู้ใช้เกิดความพึงพอใจในการทำงานของระบบนี้
